U.S.-based mobile games developer Artificial Life has just announced that it has signed a partnership agreement with Sony Ericsson's PlayNow application store to launch several Android mobile games in China.

Following the agreement, Artificial Life will launch several exciting titles, including iSink U and iSink U: Pirates Edition.

Artificial Life is a well-established pioneer in artificial intelligence and mobile technology, which was founded 17 year ago in Boston.

Artificial Life continues to penetrate into China which has the world's largest mobile subscriber base. Our close partnership with Sony Ericsson will allow us to launch mobile games to customers within a very short time frame. We are excited to be presenting our innovative and entertaining titles to the gamers in China soon,” said Eberhard Schoneburg, CEO of Artificial Life, Inc.

The game developer selected the Swedish-Japanese joint-venture in recognition for its success in China.

The handset manufacturer received several awards that proved its strength on the Chinese market: Best Worthy Expected 3G Flagship Smartphone in China Market by People.com.cn in 2010, Best Music Phone of 2009 and Most Fashionable Phone Brand by Southern Weekly magazine.

Although, Artificial Life confirmed only two titles that will be available in China via PlayNow application, additional mobile game titles and other products by Artificial Life will be available in the near future.

Introduced in February 2004, Sony Ericsson's PlayNow service allows users to download a wide array of media files including music, games, ringtones, wallpapers and themes.

In addition, PlayNow service includes the TrackID mobile music recognition service, which allows users to record several seconds of music on their phone to find out the names of the artist and track.

The service also provides users with the option to purchase the identified track directly from PlayNow, but only in some regions. TrackID works via the Sony's Gracenote recognition system.
