While Arnold Schwarzenegger is dealing with his own family crisis, the woman he had an affair with for many years and who is also the mother of his child, Patty, is also dealing with issues on the family front. She is threatening to sue ET for an interview with her ex-husband. As we also
informed you the other day, Entertainment Tonight scored an interview with Rogelio Baena, Patty’s ex husband who also helped her raise her and Arnold’s 13-year-old son.
After saying he felt betrayed by knowing of the affair his wife had with her employer (she worked for the Schwarzenegger family as a housekeeper and assistant), Rogelio also said that he only found out that the boy was not his last week.
In other words, he claimed Patty lied to him for all these years that the child she had with Arnold was actually his, Rogelio’s – a claim that her attorney says is false.
After the interview aired, Patty’s legal rep fired off a letter to ET demanding a retraction ASAP and saying the network did not bother to check facts before speaking to Rogelio,
TMZ informs.
He’s twisting facts and he’s deliberately lying because he’s out to ruin Patty’s image, her attorney says. Moreover, Rogelio was paid by ET to say those things.
“In the letter, Patty’s legal team says they can prove Rogelio ALWAYS knew he wasn’t the dad, because Rogelio was out of the country when the child was conceived and only returned to the US after Patty was already knocked up,” TMZ writes.
Therefore, his claim that he found out about the boy’s paternity only last week is a shameless lie.
“Thus, Mr. Baena knew then, just as he knows now, that he could not possibly have been the boy’s father,” the letter says.
“They also claim Rogelio was living in Columbia until E.T. paid to fly him ‘to the States to lie on television for a six figure paycheck. […] Our client has been outrageously defamed’,” TMZ further reports.
The letter asks for an apology and a retraction immediately. If ET fails to comply, Patty will take legal action.
