People getting excited about the prospect of a new “Terminator” movie that would feature Arnold in a short cameo role, now have something more to look forward to. The original Terminator has just got bumped to a full role in the upcoming production.

The news comes via Thearnoldfans, that claims to have talked to the action star, and he revealed that he was going to do a full feature in this one, “We start filming in April and it will be a four-and-a-half month long shoot. Most of it will be done in New Orleans, with some filming in San Francisco and maybe a little in LA.”

Schwarzenegger also took the time to express regret of not starring in the last movie of the franchise but explained that at the time he was still caught up in politics, being a governor, so he didn't really have time to act.

“The last Terminator was when I was Governor and so I couldn't be in that movie, but now I'm back again and they are very excited about having me in the film,” Arnold explains but it looks like he's going to make up for it on this production.

As long as he was sitting down for an interview, Arnold thought he would offer additional details about the release date and the production process, “[Producer] David Ellison has plenty of money to do it well, in partnership with Paramount Pictures who are going to release the movie through their distribution. It's going to come out on the July 4th weekend in 2015. The preparation is going well and the script is fantastic, so I'm really looking forward to it!”

Apart from good old Arnie, who will more than likely get a chance to utter on screen the iconic phrase of “I'll be back,” among the actors who will be starring in this one, there are going to be “Game of Thrones” star Emilia Clarke, who will be playing Sarah Connor, a role made iconic by Linda Hamilton in the early '90s, Jai Courney as Kyle Reese, and Jason Clarke will play the role of John Connor.

The film “Terminator: Genesis” is planned as the first part of an upcoming trilogy that will have a stand-alone plot. Director for the movies is Alan Taylor, the man behind the movie “Thor: The Dark World.”

And, by the sounds of things, if we're to listen to what Arnold tells us, it will be released on July 4, 2015.
