Being in action movies and not using a stunt double may be challenging, but one may assume it's doubly so for 64-year-old Arnold Schwarzenegger. He's refused to work with a stunt double on “The Last Stand.”

Just a few days ago, after tweeting photos of himself on the set of his first feature film since he retired from politics, Arnold posted online a photo showcasing the injury he sustained on set.

You can see the picture attached to this article: it doesn't appear to have been a very serious injury but, nevertheless, it was one that could have been avoided.

As it happens, Schwarzenegger doesn't want a stuntman to do his most dangerous scenes in the movie, TMZ reports, citing unnamed sources on the set.

“Arnold has been filming 'Last Stand' in New Mexico for nearly two months. Sources on the set tell TMZ A.S. has politely declined the producers' offer to put stuntmen in the dangerous scenes, because he thinks it's just more believable for him to do it himself,” the e-zine writes.

If anything, it looks like Schwarzenegger remains a daredevil to this day.

“As for what Arnold is doing... among other things, in one scene he's driving a Camaro, dragging a 'bad guy behind' – even though the scene involves crazy driving, it seems the bad guy is the one who needs a double,” TMZ writes.

“Arnold is also doing a scene where he's suspended high above the ground by ropes – we're told this scene is dangerous,” the same report further says.

As we also noted a short while ago, after retiring from politics, Schwarzenegger announced he would make a comeback in movies, though few probably expected him to do the same type of (challenging) roles as he did when he was young.

In November this year, the actor shared a photo with his fans, of himself and Jamie Alexander, Luis Guzman and Johnny Knoxvill on the set of “The Last Stand.”

The film has Schwarzenegger's character trying to prevent a well-known escaped criminal from crossing the border and escaping to Mexico.
