The fifth, long delayed and much anticipated “Terminator” movie is finally coming out in July 2015, and yes, Arnold Schwarzenegger is also coming back. However, contrary to the belief that it will be called “Terminator Genesis,” its actual title is “Terminator Genisys.”

The announcement comes straight from Schwarzenegger’s Instagram and has been confirmed by Paramount Pictures on social media: this is actually what the movie will be called.

Before you say that changing a couple of letters in Genesis and basically inventing a new word still doesn’t make the title too original, we should note that buzz online has it that the title probably serves a double purpose: that of indicating that this is a reboot of the “Terminator” franchise and of referring to some program developed by Skynet, which will probably be used in an attempt to kill all humans.

That’s just speculation for the time being. Here’s what Arnold said about the production, which wrapped just recently.

“Hasta la vista, baby. I want to thank the cast and crew of @TerminatorGenisys for a fantastic shoot. It was challenging, it was fun, and it was rewarding. From our director to the producers, from the camera team to catering, from visual effects to hair and makeup – we couldn't have done it without you,” he writes in the caption of the photo.

“I can't wait to see our finished project and I know we'll remind the fans why they fell in love with the Terminator. On July 1, 2015, I'll be back,” he adds. He obviously couldn’t resist making that “I’ll be back” joke, and seeing how it’s one of the most famous one-liners ever in film, who could really blame him.

In a March 2014 interview, Arnie revealed that, in this new “Terminator” film, he would be playing an older version of the Terminator than the one seen in the previous installments, explaining that, while his character is a machine underneath, the exterior is made of human flesh. As such, he ages: perhaps not as fast as regular men, but he ages nonetheless.

He also said that a younger version of his T-800 would also be included. “Terminator deals a lot with time travel, so there will be a younger T-800, and then what that model does later on when it gets reprogrammed, and who gets ahold of him. So it will be all kinds of interesting twists in the movie, but I feel so good,” he explained at the time.

“Terminator Genisys” also stars Emilia Clarke, Jason Clarke, Jai Courtney, and Sandrine Holt and is directed by Alan Taylor, who previously helmed “Thor: The Dark World.” He also directed a few episodes of “Game of Thrones,” which is where he met Emilia and, he said, decided he wanted her for Sarah Connor, a role previously made famous by Linda Hamilton.
