The development team at EA Sports announces that they are making big changes to the presentation for the next version of the golfing simulation series, with Arnold Palmer set to join Tiger Woods on the cover of PGA Tour 14.

Palmer is one of the most widely respected former golf professionals, having managed to get 92 victories during his career, with 62 of them linked to the PGA Tour.

His record includes seven major championships, with four Masters, two Opens Championships and one US Open.

Arnold Palmer was previously included in Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2005 and 2006 and his addition to the 2014 edition is a sign that EA Sports is keen to move the series away from the dominating image of Tiger Woods, who has hit by scandal during the last few years and has seen his professional form dip.

Other new golfers featured in the next version of the sim include: Keegan Bradley, Bud Cauley, Stacy Lewis and Lexi Thompson and there are 25 pros that gamers can choose to play as.

Tiger Woods PGA 14 will include a number of changes, with the addition of bigger galleries, dynamic reactions from the crowd and digital leaderboards designed to increase competition between players and the sense of realism.

The course list will include: the famous Augusta National Golf Club, the difficult St. Andrews Links and TPC Sawgrass.

The development team will also lavish more attention on the Augusta National Golf Club and the biggest event in the sport, the Masters Tournament.

The EA Sports team working on Tiger Woods PGA Tour 14 is also improving the motion tracing controls linked to both the Microsoft made Kinect and the PlayStation Move from Sony.

The only unknowns at the moment are the actual launch date for the new golf game and whether it will also receive a Nintendo Wii U version.
