L.L. Bean, a company which specializes in providing the people who are keen on outdoor activities with the equipment they need in order to enjoy the time they spend in the wild, recently celebrated its 100th anniversary.

In order to mark the event, they presented their customers – both old and new – with Swiss army knives whose handles are made from sustainable wood. More precisely, their choice of material was reclaimed walnut.

Apparently, these green-oriented knives are all rather unique, meaning that, precisely because they are made by putting wood waste to better use, the patterns they display look quite different from one another.

For the time being, L.L. Bean can only wait and see whether or not their limited-edition Swiss army knives will appeal or not to the green-heads and outdoors enthusiasts they targeted with this campaign.
