Arma Tactics THD is one of the most exciting titles that arrived in the Windows Store lately, but as compared to some of its rivals, this game is only available for Windows RT users.

As we can all find out by reading the game description published in the store, Arma Tactics is a turn-based close-combat strategy game that’s perfectly optimized for the touch and works exclusively on Tegra-powered devices, such as Microsoft’s very own Surface RT and Surface 2.

The game comes with great video graphic and visual effects, realistic animations, several difficulty levels and multiple game modes. Controller support is also being offered, just in case you want to plug in an Xbox gamepade and play the game without touch.

“Arma Tactics is a turn-based close-combat strategy game, where the player takes control of a four-member Special Forces team. There are no given strategies, rails to move on, or paths to follow; it‘s up to the player to decide how he will play through both the story-driven missions and generated missions with randomized objectives,” the game description reads.

“Whether using stealth or a more direct approach, players will need to use their strategic thinking and use both basic and advanced weaponry while facing many different opponents - ranging from unorganized local militia to smart and skilled mercenaries.”

Unfortunately, Arma Tactics THD isn’t offered free of charge, but with a $4.99 (€3.70) price tag, which shouldn’t be too much in case you’re a fan of the series. No trial version is available in case you’d like to try out the game before buying it.

Keep in mind, however, that it only works on Windows RT and Windows RT 8.1 devices, so you won’t be able to play on a desktop computer or laptop running Microsoft’s latest modern operating system.
