The contest, titled Make Arma Not War, is open to anyone

Bohemia Interactive just announced the beginning of Make Arma Not War, a content creation contest open to the modding public, featuring a combined prize pool of €500K ($680K).

Building upon the Arma series' strong heritage in modding, mod developers are invited to compete in four categories: Total Modification, Singleplayer Game Mode, Multiplayer Game Mode and Addon.

Cash prizes total a whopping €500K ($680K) and are spread across the four different categories, ranging in value from €20,000 ($27K) to €200,000 ($270K).

The headline prize of €200,000 ($270K) belongs to the Total Modification category and will be received by a sole victor. The other categories will divide their prizes between 1st place – €50,000 ($68K), 2nd place – €30,000 ($40K) and 3rd place – €20,000 ($27K).

Applications and submissions will be enabled on the competition's official webpage during 2014 and contestants will be able to develop and polish their submissions until October 2014.

The main areas to be judged are technical quality, originality, content experience and presentation. The winners of the contest will be announced for each category in January 2015.
