14 DAY TRIAL // There has not been a lot of information about the follow-up to last year's big superhero title Batman: Arkham Asylum. All that it is known is that there is a sequel in the works at Rocksteady and that it is the last time Mark Hamill will be the voice of The Joker. Warner Brothers has recently registered a number of web domains and some of them may be quite revealing about the story of the game.
Some of these are really interesting, especially if the official trailer is taken into account. Rise of Arkham is a further indication that inmates have escaped from the asylum and are now wreaking havoc in the Gotham City. Ashes of Gotham goes through the same lines and it is quite clear what are the intentions of the developers regarding the setting of this new entry in the series. It may be worth remembering that the trailer mentioned before shows images of a fallen Gotham City with criminals roaming freely and a sickly Joker over watching all of this, having the time of his life. The decaying logo at the end may be a further hint of the atmosphere that the development team is aiming for in this game.
Stop Mayor Sharp is another nice hint for those who have found the Warden's secret office in Arkham Asylum. Where Is Bruce Wayne also gives some hints, this time regarding the Batman's status at the beginning of the title. Kevin Conroy, the well known voice of Batman has declared that this sequel would be very dark and will feature Two-Face, among other famous villains of the Batman franchise. The title will be released in 2011 on the Xbox 360, the PlayStation 3 and the PC.
