For the last couple of months, more and more people in the media have reported that Ariana Grande, the young singer that has taken the charts by storm with her song “Problem,” is one big diva, making outrageous demands, rolling her eyes and treating her fans very badly.

The Mirror claims that Ariana Grande was left “heartbroken” by the rumors and it adds that she went to the unlikeliest person to find some wise words of advice. The singer reportedly called Miley Cyrus who has been working in the industry for several years and has presumably amassed more experience.

Ariana phoned Miley and complained about getting a bad reputation, but she told her not to worry about it

The two singers are friends and Ariana didn't hesitate to pick up the phone and complain to Miley that she's hurt by the mean rumors that she's a diva both on and off the stage. Surprisingly, Miley had some wise words.

“I was upset and I contacted Miley. I said, ‘Miley, I’m so sad – what do I do? This isn’t true. My heart is broken, I feel so bad,” Ariana reportedly told Miley. To which she replied, “Girl, don’t even look at it. Just be happy that you’re blessed. You have family and friends love you, you have fans that love you who know what’s true and what’s not.”

Miley added that “It will blow over and tomorrow they’ll be talking about something else,” which is probably right under the circumstances. Miley is clearly better equipped to handle such scandals since she's constantly raising scandals with her music, her performances or her style.

“She lives for love and that’s something I do too. She has a beautiful spirit and she made me feel so much better,” Ariana concluded.

Grande says she's not a diva, she's only trying to make it in the business

Ariana also confessed that she thinks women performers have a harder time in the industry which is probably why she got called a diva, “If you see a woman working hard who is successful – who doesn’t stop until she reaches her goal, who is strong and has wishes and dreams she wants to fulfill, and works hard every day – you label them a diva.”

That's all fine and well, but it still doesn't explain the constant rumors surrounding Grande that she kept exasperating people from her entourage. Isaac Calpito, her life coach and choreographer, quit working with her in September over “her bad attitude.”

Several other big people in show business, such as Giuliana Rancic, veteran reporter for E!, have blasted her for diva antics, pointing out that she still has a long way to go before she can actually make the same demands as Mariah Carey.

Among her diva antics were reported to be the fact that Grande made a point of only being filmed and photographed from the left side, convinced that that is her “good side.” To this day, it's quite a challenge to find a photo or video of Ariana in which she doesn't show only the left side of her face.

She also has people make special list of questions interviewers are allowed to ask her during her public appearances, and there was also that scandal with her fans in New York where she reportedly said she'd wished they were all dead as soon as she was out of their earshot.
