Aria2 1.16.0 Has Support for Magnet Links

Aria2, a utility for downloading files that supports multiple protocols such as HTTP(S), FTP, BitTorrent, and Metalink, is now at version 1.16.0.

Aria2 1.16.0 features a command-line interface, segmented downloading, client certificate authentication in HTTPS, custom HTTP Header support, and more.

Highlights of Aria2 1.16.0:

• The application can download a file from multiple sources/protocols and tries to utilize your maximum download bandwidth, speeding up the software and its processes;
• Aria2 now supports an RPC interface to control the process;
• The Metalink Download Description Format is now supported;
• A fully featured BitTorrent client has been implemented, with all the trimmings such as DHT, PEX, Encryption, Magnet URI, Web-Seeding, Selective Downloads and Local Peer Discovery.
