I must say, there is one aspect in which I really feel for Lindsay Lohan. And I totally mean her family. I mean, she may have been ranked among the world's top ten bitches, but I think LiLo must have been a murderer of some sort in a previous life to deserve the pain of being born with such parents. And I'm pretty sure you know what I mean. When it's not her mother bitching around about how she is going to get an Oscar, it's her ex convict of a father who claims that LiLo is in fact an angel in disguise trying to bring Heaven on earth.
Michael Lohan definitely craves media attention. Otherwise I can't explain how come every time he steps out the door he feels this need to either mention how wonderful Lindsay is or to make us all feel what a great father he himself is. His most recent round of bragging is about how he will be heading to Utah this week to spend 5 days with his estranged daughter at an undisclosed outpatient facility.
My guess is that he has probably never spent that much time with his daughter ever since she was a baby and that's what makes him so happy about it. "We've still got a lot of catching up to do" he says. "I'm looking forward to spending the next week with her. We've been in constant phone contact". I'm sensing there's more to this than the much hyped father-daughter reunion. There must be something else going on - it can't be money because LiLo's other loony parent, mom Dina, seems to have the key to what's left of the treasure chest. I'm guessing Michael wants to become Lindsay's manager again or something of the sort - you'll see.
"She's in a great, great place now. I've never heard her so honest, contrite and focused. Lindsay is weeding out all the bad. She's taking a step back and reevaluating her life. What she tells - her honesty and openness - has brought me to tears. It's beyond words how proud I am of her". Damn, I almost started crying myself just now. But seriously, I don't think he should be bragging about how he's never seen LiLo so honest - he is only making us realize what a bad parent he has been so far and maybe feel just a little bit of companion for his daughter. But don't worry - I won't be going to team LiLo anytime soon. Just wait until that pictures of that rehab reunion staged photo shoot surface. That will help me get over my LiLo blues in no time.
