Arctic has just updated the specifications sheets of three of its mid-range VGA coolers to mention their compatibility with AMD’s upcoming Radeon HD 7770 and HD 7750 graphics cards based on the Cape Verde core.

Three VGA coolers manufactured by Arctic will be compatible with these HD 7000 Series graphics cores, namely the Accelero Mono Plus, the Accelero L2 Plus and the Accelero S1 Plus.

According to Hardcore Hardware, no special mounting accessories are required for installing Arctic’s third-party cooling assemblies on the new Radeon HD graphics cards.

Users who want to build a quiet gaming or HTPC computer will also be glad to know that the Accelero S1 Plus can work with the Radeon HD 7770 and HD 7750 GPUs, without requiring any additional fans to be installed.

All the Arctic VGA coolers arrive with all the accessories required for mounting the cooler, and enough heatsinks for all the memory chips and VRM’s installed on the HD 7700 PCB.

AMD is expected to launch the Radeon HD 7770 and HD 7750 graphics cards in just a day from now, on February 15, and both of these solutions use the Cape Verde GPU based on AMD’s Graphics Core Next (GCN) architecture.

The Cape Verde XT GPU installed in the HD 7770 features 640 streaming processors, 40 texture units and 16 ROP units, all connected to the video buffer via a 128-bit wide memory bus.

Speaking about the memory, this will be clocked at 1,125MHz (4.5GHz data rate) in order to deliver 72GB/s of bandwidth, while the GPU operating frequency is set at 1000MHz.

Moving to the Cape Verde Pro GPU used inside the Radeon HD 7750, this will be clocked at a much lower 800MHz, but AMD decided to set the memory at the same 1,125MHz, while also including a 128-bit wide bus.

The number of ROP units wasn’t modified either, but the GPU now features 512 stream processors and 32 texture units. No info regarding the price of these upcoming AMD cards was provided so far.
