Arctic has recently announced the second generation of its popular Accelero Twin Turbo graphics card cooler, which is designed to be used with mainstream and high-end graphics cards, including the popular Nvidia GeForce GTX 560 Ti and the Radeon HD 6950.

According to Arctic, the Accelero Twin Turbo II is compatible with GPUs that dissipate as much as 160W.

In order to handle all this massive amount of heat, the VGA cooler is equipped with a pair of 92mm fans which can rev up to 2000RPM and are tuned to provide additional airflow to the components surrounding the GPU.

This includes the card's VRMs and memory chips and, in order to keep noise down, the rotational speed of the two fans is controlled automatically depending on the temperature of the graphics core.

Speaking of the graphics core, heat is drawn away from it via five copper heatpipes that are connected to a 35-fin aluminum heatsink.

In order to ease the installation process, the copper base, which connects to the GPU, features a pre-applied coat of Arctic MX-4 thermal compound.

Furthermore, Arctic has designed a intuitive mounting mechanism which is compatible with a wide series of current and future graphics cards.

A complete list is available on the company's website, but it should be noted that this includes popular GPU models such as the GTX 560 Ti, 560, 550 Ti or GTX 460 form Nvidia's camp camp as well as AMD cards like the Radeon HD 6950, 6870, 6850 or 5870, to name just a few.

Together with the Accelero Twin Turbo II cooler, Arctic also bundles a set of RAM and VRM heatsinks in assorted size to accommodate a wide range of VGA boards as well as a tube of Arctic G-1 non-conductive thermal glue.

Arctic's Accelero Twin Turbo II should be available right now in retail with a MSRP of $63.32 USD or €44.54 EUR, excl. VAT.
