Even though winter is coming, PCs are hardly expected to sit anywhere but the warm comfort of one's home, so it is not a shock to hear that a cooler maker released another cooling device.

While some part of the world are experiencing what is it to feel winter, the rest of the world is going about its business as usual.

Furthermore, cooling is no less a concern even in areas where snow has already started to fall, so Arctic saw more than enough reason to update its product's lineup.

This once, it decided not to bring out some new, high-end device for enthusiasts, not did it deliver any other sort of large cooler.

Instead, it looked at the market for small form factor personal computers, a segment which includes, among other things, nettops and HTPCs,

Thus it was that Arctic created the Freezer 11 LP, where LP is the shortened form of low profile.

It is a cooler meant for central processing units designed for the LGA 775, LGA 1156 and even LGA 1155 sockets and uses two copper heatpipes, plus a base plate with pre-applied MX-2 thermal compound.

It also boasts a fan created using the Fluid Dynamic Lager bearing. Said spinner has a diameter of 92mm and a rotary speed of 900 to 2,000 RPM (rotations per minute).

All in all, it measures 115 (L) x 106 (W) x 53 (H) mm and weighs just 225 grams, its maker no doubt hoping that the small and light package will make it instantly a favorite among HTPC makers.

“The Freezer 11LP is the one to go for if you are looking for a cooler for slim PC systems. Its powerful cooling capacity along with its nearly inaudible operation outperforms its competitors and stock coolers,” said Peter Jankowski, Sales Director, ARCTIC Switzerland.

The price and performance ratio is very inviting – it is the ultimate cooler for any lowprofile PC cases,” he added.

Arctic gave the newcomer a warranty of 6 years and a price of about 15.30 Euro, which corresponds to $19.90.
