One of the companies that might join the Windows Phone party in the not-too-distant future is Archos, which has confirmed recently plans to make such a handset available sooner or later.

In an interview with TrustedReview, Archos CEO Loic Poirier unveiled that the Windows Phone platform is mature enough, after enjoying growth in the past few years, and that he considers launching a phone running under it.

“We will launch a Windows Phone handset when the time is right,” Poirier reportedly said, without providing additional details on the matter. Info on what the device could include hasn’t been offered either.

In the meantime, however, the company is focused on the release of devices that are powered by Google’s Android operating system, it seems. Hopefully, more on this will emerge soon, so stay tuned to learn the news.
