After teasing Android fans with a few Android-based tablets along the year, Archos manufacturer recently announced a new set of tablets that will be showcased for the first time at this year's IFA event.

If most of the tablets introduce in the past by Archos were low-budget devices, this time the manufacturer comes up with five new models with prices varying between $100 and $350.

All five new models will be running the latest Android 2.2 OS, which raises the stakes for the company, as many other important manufacturers are preparing to launch their tablets on the market (Dell, Samsung).

The cheapest tablet recently introduced by Archos is called Archos 28 and it should be available on the market in late September for only $99.99.

The device features a 2.8-inches, 320×240 display, 800MHz Cortex A8 processor, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, and 720P HD video playback. As you probably noticed there's some important things missing, such as camera and Bluetooth, but it's a price you have to pay for such a cheap tablet.

The second in line is the Archos 32 Internet tablet, which should be available starting mid-September for only $149.99.

The tablet comes with a slightly larger 3.2-inch resistive display with 400×240 resolution, 800MHz Cortex A8 processor, VGA camera, 720P HD video playback, built-in mic, composite output, USB port, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1 and 8GB of internal storage.

The Archos 43 is slated for release in October and its price tag is a little bit higher compared with the two models above, $199.99.

Archos 43 will come with a 4.3-inch 480×854 touchscreen resistive display, 1GHz ARM Cortex A8 processor, HDMI port, 2-megapixel camera with 720P HD recording, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1, and internal storage capacities of 8GB.

The Archos 70 should be out on the market in October and has a recommended price of $274.99 (8GB version) and $349.99 (250GB version).

The device includes a 7-inch 800×480 capacitive touchscreen display, 1GHz Cortex A8 processor Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1, front VGA camera, USB and HDMI ports. The Archos 70 will be available with 8GB of flash storage or 250GB of hard drive storage.

The most expensive tablet announced by Archos is the Archos 101 model, which should be available in October for $299.99 (8GB version) and $349.99 (16GB version).

It comes with a large 10-inches, 1024×600 capacitive display, 1GHz Cortex A8 processor, 720P HD video playback, OpenGL ES 2.0, VGA camera, HDMI port, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1, and 8GB or 16GB of internal storage.

Stay tuned for more pictures and vids with the devices, as soon as they appear at IFA 2010.
