CeBIT wasn't all that packed with announcements, since some top-tier IT players had little or nothing to show off, and whether or not IFA ends up in the same boat, Archos is still said to be getting ready for a special showing during that particular event.

The past week doesn't seem to have been that much more filled with news than the previous ones, even with how IT players form around the world convened for the CeBIT expo, held in Hannover, Germany.

Had Intel, AMD and/or NVIDIA brought anything particularly groundbreaking, or many enough processors, there would have, no doubt, been a flood of new PCs or graphics cards.

As it was, however, there was far less activity, although it cannot be said that the expo was barren either.

Among other things, some tablets were showcased or previewed, some for the first time, even though MWC (Mobile World Congress) 2011 was where such slates really came out in significant numbers.

One of them, Arnova 8, was developed by Archos and put on display alongside an e-book reader called 7ob.

Now, it is reported that the same company has similar designs for the upcoming IFA, set to take place between 2 and 7 September, in Berlin.

There should be at least two tablets ready by then, with screen sizes of 7 inches and 10 inches, respectively. This means they will be successors, of sort, to the 70 and 101 Internet Tablets.

Tablets are already getting quite widespread and powerful, thanks to their increasingly good hardware and the advancements to their operating systems.

That said, it is understandable that Archos does not really know (or so the report says) what the upcoming tablets will actually be made of, except for the fact that the components will be high-end, implying an equally high price.
