French company Archos is apparently ready to launch a new top-of-the line G tablet. The new device has just paid a visit to the FCC and new information is now available.

The new tablet is sometimes referred to as the G10xs or the 101xs and it has been spotted initially showing off good scores in various benchmarks.

This is reportedly a very thin and light device, as it has a thickness of only 7.6 millimeters, which makes it 15% thinner than Apple’s iPad 2, 23% thinner than the new iPad and a whole 36% thinner than the Nexus 7.

All in all, Archos’ new tablet is very thin and will be powered by a very powerful processor.

TI’s OMAP 4470 is still a dual-core Cortex A9 design, but it’s clocked between 1.5GHz and 1.8GHz while packing a fast PowerVR SGX544 iGPU and a dedicated 2D iGPU.
