14 DAY TRIAL // Archos’ console-like Android tablet GamePad was showcased for the first time back in September at IFA 2012, in Berlin.
The tablet was launched on the market last month, but customers in the United States were left out. However, AndroidCommunity reports Archos confirmed that the GamePad would arrive in the US at some point in February. Customers will be able to purchase the tablet for just $170/€125.
The GamePad will ship with Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box, along with console-like controls for gaming.
On the inside, the tablet is equipped with a dual-core processor clocked at 1.6 GHZ, a quad-core Mali-400 MP4 graphics processing unit and 1GB of RAM.
The GamePad also packs 8GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD memory card.
Last but not least, the slate sports a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports 1024 x 600 pixels resolution, as well as miniHDMI port and G-sensor.
