As we have seen today, Archos has rolled out its latest tablet, the Archos 101 XS 2 complete with a keyboard cover, dubbed "Coverboard."

It appears that the manufacturing company will be bringing the device to the United States as well, as reported by TomsHardware. What’s odd is that the slate will be made available to American customers for the meager price of $249 / €183 / £155.

As for British customers, they will have to pay extra if they want to acquire the same tablet, £249.99 / $402 / €298. US budget tablet shoppers are definitely being treated preferentially here. The slate is expected to drop in the States on the same month as in the UK, so watch out for it in December.

The Archos 101 XS 2 comes packing a 10.1-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixel density. Power comes from a 1.6GHz quad-core CPU coupled with 2GB of RAM.

Users can get up to 64GB of internal storage with the device. Android 4.2 Jelly Bean is the default operating system running on the slate, so users can access all the Google services.
