ArchBang 2012.12 Has Linux Kernel 3.6.8

ArchBang, a simple GNU/Linux distribution which provides you with a lightweight Arch Linux system combined with the Openbox window manager, is now at version 2012.07.02.

ArchBang 2012.12 is now available for grabs, but users who already have the operating system installed and up-to-date don't have to upgrade. The developers also advise users to test under VirtualBox or as a Live CD.

Highlights of ArchBang 2012.12:

• Linux kernel has been updated to 3.6.8;
• The GnomishDark Theme with Shakey-Stapler-Dark Widget has been added;
• The openbox-menu for the Openbox desktop environment has been updated;
• The dbus-launch package has been removed.

Download ArchBang 2012.07.02 right now from Softpedia. Remember that this is a development release and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended to be used for testing purposes only.
