Blizzard has revealed an April Fools prank for Heroes of the Storm by introducing a fresh hero into the games lineup: Pajamathur, who’s actually a baby version of Abathur, the actual upcoming character from the studio's MOBA title.

Over the past few months Blizzard has been releasing detailed character profiles for Heroes of the Storm, its upcoming multiplayer online battle arena title.

Now, for April Fools, the studio decided to go on a different route and introduce Pajamathur, a baby version of Abathur, complete with pajamas as well as a pacifier.

According to the studio, the main reason for his introduction was that players have had a hard time using Abathur so the new hero is much more approachable for everyone, according to the announcement on the official website.

"Over the past few weeks, we’ve heard some feedback from the player community that our traditional Abathur hero was sometimes a bit challenging to master. In response, when we designed Pajamathur we wanted to ensure that this compelling new hero was more approachable and easy to master for beginners. After thorough playtesting, we decided to retune all of his original abilities and replace them with three fresh and unique abilities that felt just right for this cunning Specialist hero."

Three vastly different and quite hilarious abilities can be used by the new hero in the game, in the form of Soft and Zergy, Void Nap, and Tantrum of Terror. Check out all the amusing details below.

Soft and Zergy - Pajamathur hugs his stuffed animal. All heroes nearby will be marked with a debuff called “Soft Spot.” Soft Spot will not allow Heroes to perform another action until they have hugged a nearby minion. Void Nap - Pajamathur lays down to take a nap causing all enemy minions to avoid him. The first enemy hero to approach too closely to Pajamathur will wake him up and will be forced to carry him until he falls back asleep. Heroes carrying Pajamathur are unable to attack or use abilities. Tantrum of Terror - Pajamathur drops his binky, throwing him into a tantrum. All games sounds are replaced by his screaming and the sound can only be silenced when the binky is returned to him by another Hero.

You can admire a video of Pajamathur in action below.

Blizzard already revealed plenty of other April Fools pranks today, focusing on other games like Starcraft 2, Diablo 3, or an all-new one called Blizzard Outcasts: Vengeance of the Vanquished.
