BioWare is getting into the April Fools’ Day spirit and confirms that the first DLC multiplayer character for Dragon Age: Inquisition will be Zither the Virtuoso, a musician who'll demolish enemies on the battlefield using his songs and skills.

Dragon Age: Inquisition launched last year, and developer BioWare impressed quite a lot of people with its top-notch role-playing game that included not just a stellar single-player story but also an intense multiplayer mode that tasked fans with working together to take down multiple foes.

Since then, BioWare has released a multiplayer add-on as well as a single-player expansion called Jaws of Hakkon, but only for the PC and Xbox One right now.

A hoax multiplayer character has just been revealed

Now, for April Fools’ Day, BioWare confirms that the second multiplayer DLC is coming soon in the form of Zither the Virtuoso.

As his name suggests, Zither is a musician who's also a mage, meaning that he can unleash pretty powerful attacks using just the power of his songs.

His abilities include "Mark of the Riff," which conjures elemental energy for your allies; "Can't Stop the Music," which causes enemy attacks to miss; "A Little Knight Music," which bolsters the armor of allies; "Encore," which offers a free song when killing an enemy.

"The Virtuoso’s gameplay is very different from existing Inquisition classes," BioWare explains on the official website. "Zither always has 4 abilities mapped, 3 Notes and 1 Song: the notes are Fire, Ice, Lightning, and players unlock Songs in the ability menu. The Virtuoso typically plays a strong support role for your party, but he can easily focus entirely on offense or become a hybrid of both styles!"

Unfortunately, for all those who've gotten excited, the announcement is an April Fools’ prank and won't really take effect in Dragon Age: Inquisition, no matter how cool it sounds.
