Blizzard has revealed yet another April Fools day prank for its loyal fans, this time targeting Diablo 3 players with Happy Reaper, a web game that parodies the phenomenally successful Flappy Bird mobile game, but puts a Reaper of Souls spin on it.

Diablo 3 saw the release of its long-awaited Reaper of Souls expansion at the end of last month, delivering a brand new story act, as well as a new class, fresh mechanics, and a special adventure mode.

Now, after a week since that release, Blizzard's Diablo 3 team has launched yet another game, in the form of Happy Reaper.

The title can be played for free using a web browser at this address, is actually a parody title based on Flappy Bird, the hugely successful mobile game that took the world by storm at the beginning of the year.

However, Blizzard put a distinct Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls spin on the experience, as players take control of the main villain, Malthael, as he navigates the world of Sanctuary and eliminates his opponents.

"In Happy Reaper, players take on the role of Malthael, the Angel of Death, who's recently returned to Sanctuary with a vengeance. With a series of well-timed mouse clicks or finger taps, skillfully guide Malthael through a network of ancient Pandemonium ruins to collect human souls and obliterate all puny nephalem with your trusty Death Laser of Doom," the studio said about the game on its official website.

Quite a lot of different parody features have also been highlighted by Blizzard, in the form of meaningful choices (as you get to let Malthael go up or down during the game), or special game mechanics (the supposed Tapright technology ensures a responsive experience).

Check out the list of remaining features below.

- Experience the WHOOSH of every ghostly wing flap and the POW of every laser beam blast with our proprietary Dia-Bling FX engine. - All-new, fully loaded soundscape designed to stimulate your senses and help you reduce stress, improve sleep, and lose weight. - Larger-than-life in-game collision system provides exceptional (and increasingly difficult) levels of challenge.

The actual game is quite well done and will surely delight Diablo 3 fans who have already tried out Flappy Bird or one of its many different clones over the last few months.

Blizzard also confirmed on April Fools that it's renaming Starcraft 2: Legacy of the Void into Herald of the Stars due to the popularity of the HotS acronym, and that it's going to debut a fighting game called Blizzard Outcasts: Vengeance of the Vanquished.
