14 DAY TRIAL // Every year, rumors of an upcoming Depp-Paradis wedding ceremony surface in the media and, each year so far, no exception, they have amounted to absolutely nothing. The couple is indeed a very private one, and shares their plans with no one but close friends but, this time, sources say that word of the upcoming nuptials is already as good as official, and the media can confirm it.
HollywoodRag reports that Johnny Depp and longtime partner and mother of his children Vanessa Paradis have finally decided to take the “big leap of faith” in a ceremony that will reportedly take place in April this year on their French estate. Rumor in several tabloids and celebrity magazines has it that the entire thing will be as private as the two lovers, counting only 50 guests, very close friends and family members.
“They’re a very private couple. It’s no surprise they’d want to celebrate at their home.” one source told the tabs. This is not the first time this year, though, that speculation of Johnny Depp going off the market surfaces, as talk was first heard a short while back, when he was reportedly seen shopping for an engagement ring in California.
Although confirmation of this is still pending, as also it is for the reported official engagement, the tabs already know details about the wedding ceremony. It seems that director Tim Burton, with whom Depp has worked on countless occasions and who is also one of his closest friends, will act as best man. Meanwhile, Rolling Stone guitarist Keith Richards is said to attend the ceremony as well as a guest of honor.
“Keith and Johnny are good pals. Johnny’s portrayal of Jack Sparrow in ‘The Pirates of the Caribbean’ was partly inspired by the old rocker, and Keith had a cameo in the second sequel.” other unnamed, but still presumably reliable sources, reveal to the US media. On a side note, the connection between Depp and Richards has been used before, also on the topic of the former’s wedding, the only difference being that, then, Richards was supposed to be the best man.
