People familiar with Apple’s plans say the company will satellite-stream its October 22 event to Londoners, allowing local press to catch an early glimpse of the new products.

According to sources close to 9to5mac, “For the upcoming event, the stream will be held in London, according to members of international media invited to the stream.”

The stream will kick in at 6PM local time and the attending media will be seated at the Kings Place Hall, a venue that can fit several hundred people.

The Cupertino company will also set up live streams for employees, available via an internal portal.

Apple reportedly told employees that a replay of the event will be available on the public Apple.com web site once the event is over.

On occasion, Apple has also live-streamed its events publicly. That hasn’t been the case with the September 10 event, but we’re keeping our fingers crossed for this one.
