There’s good news and bad news regarding the just-leaked Logic Pro X upgrade looming in the dark. The good news is the info that Logic Pro X is in the works, of course.

The bad news, according to Cultofmac, is that Apple may be looking to revamp the same way it did with Final Cut Pro X.

Needless to point out, Apple has some skeletons in the closet regarding that one.

However, there seems to be no indication that Logic Pro X will be a flop. For one thing, Apple wouldn’t allow themselves to make the same mistake twice.

Secondly, Apple’s Logic team reportedly addressed this exact matter, stressing that it will not be the case with Logic Pro X.

As the story goes, a source reportedly told Macotakara that Logic Pro X was confirmed during a “customer interview” by Apple’s own Logic team.

The software gurus at Apple coding away at Logic X have reportedly ceased development of Soundtrack Pro 3, a component of Final Cut Studio and Logic Studio, but a replacement app was not clearly specified.

Additional details included that WaveBurner will be integrated in the new Logic, whereas MainStage will be released as stand-alone application.

The Logic team is said to be confident that their upgraded suite will not take the route of Final Cut Pro X, as Logic is being developed to be 64-bit enabled out of the box, they said.

Lastly, one of the Logic team members actually took the time to ensure Logic Pro X would not get bad press before it’s even confirmed, saying that “Logic Pro X will not have GarageBand style user interface.”
