Apple has reportedly ceded to settle with Proview over the iPad trademark dispute by agreeing to a sum of money that Proview believes is appropriate.

The news comes from Proview’s lawyer, Xie Xianghui, who reportedly told Chinese news outlet Xinhua, "We feel that the attitude of Apple Inc. has changed. Although they expressed that they were willing to negotiate, they have never taken any action before. But now, they are having conversations with us, and we have begun to consult on the case," said Xie Xianghui.

Xie went on to say, "It's good for both sides to reach a settlement as soon as possible," adding that Apple has put a sum of money on the table that Proview can accept as appropriate compensation.
