The White iPhone 4 may be the actual second iteration, should Apple plan the release of a revised handset

A report citing Marco Quatorze, Telcel Director of Value Added Services, suggests Apple is planning the release of a revised iPhone 4 which doesn't suffer from any cellular reception issues, even mentioning an exact release date of the new smartphone.

9to5mac points out to an intriguing report by CanalMX noting that it is hard to ignore the references to a new revision of Apple’s iPhone 4 allegedly set to be released on September 30th.

Interestingly indeed, this would be in the neck of time for Apple's self-imposed September 30 deadline for the Free Bumper program, which ends just then.

A Google translation of the CanalMX report (from Spanish) is provided as follows:

He [Marco Quatorze, Telcel's Director of Value Added Services] also said that as of September 30 Telcel will be available in new devices that do not have the malfunction of the reception and explained that the company will have several options to make changes from one phone to another flawed not to take:

“If the previous plan is over, you will need to hire a new change for iPhone 4. If, for example, already has one and take three months for payment, change the cell with a re-employment and takes into account the previous time, so instead of paying 24 months, only done in 21."

The question of the case beyond the phone company that we hire, it is worth evaluating whether to purchase the first version of iPhone4 with all its flaws, or wait a month to be available the new version promises to vindicate the reputation of this controversial but attractive device, though no doubt there will be many users who are not willing to lose this dream so long Smartphone.

Softpedia note

Apple is yet to ship the White iPhone 4.

Softpedia has pointed out in the past that Apple's White iPhone 4 holdup could be tied to the antennagate issue.

The company is having difficulties in manufacturing this particular model, according to two separate announcements issued in June, and July respectively.

By holding back this version of the iPhone 4, Apple not only has the time to do some adjusting on the antenna (if there really is an issue with cellular reception), but also has a positive announcement at hand – White iPhone 4 Now Available – to shift attention from the issues surrounding its new smartphone.

Of course, this is pure speculation and should be taken as such.

The Cupertino-based iPhone maker is hosting a special event at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco tomorrow, where it is expected to unveil a new line of iPods.

Apple is known use its keynote presentations to make adjacent announcements, whenever clarification is in order on certain matters.
