The Cupertino giant reportedly has new laptops prepared for Q2 2013

Yet another rumor comes today from the infamous DigiTimes which claims that Apple is preparing to roll out new MacBooks in the second quarter of 2013.

Apple has overestimated the success of its 13-inch MacBook Pros in 2013, “[as] the device's actual sales turn out to be weaker than expected, leaving the company still digesting its inventories in the first quarter,” reports the Taiwanese trade publication.

Unnamed sources within the company’s supply chain are telling the paper that “shipments may only see single-digit growth in 2013,” mainly because of issues with component suppliers.

It then adds (emphasis ours), “The orders may increase slightly after Apple releases its new MacBook products at the end of the second quarter.”

As usual, DigiTimes isn’t shy of dropping seemingly unfounded hints at future Apple products, and while the site’s track record is modest at best, we’re still compelled to convey all the important rumors to our readers.

Take it with the usual grain of salt, and you’re more than welcome to speculate on what kind of MacBooks you think Apple will roll out next. To the comments!
