Numerous reports citing a WSJ newsflash indicate there will be more iCloud apps from Apple in the future, if the company manages to snag the necessary people with know-how in Web-based software.

It has been revealed that Cupertino is recruiting senior-level executives with backgrounds in Web-based software, and that the company has already talked to one prominent Internet entrepreneur earlier this year.

Moreover, the Mac maker is considering building new applications that leverage the Web. The new web-apps will be designed to reduce dependency on devices, one of the people briefed on the matter said.

There are no specific positions set for the Web team just yet, and Apple wants talented people that can immediately begin work as directors and even higher positions than that, including senior executives.

Of course there'll be more iCloud apps in the future. I think, what we see today is only the tip of the iceberg and iCloud will be expanded over the years.

Nowadays you can use iTunes in the Cloud to download your music on all your devices, but how do you listen to your music when you're on your work using a Windows PC and you're not allowed to install iTunes? It's possible a Music button will be added to icloud.com in the future. It doesn't matter if you're on a Mac, on Windows, on Linux, on BSD or if you're using someones Android telephone or tablet, you just go to icloud.com and you can stream your own music using the web browser. That's what I call iTunes in the Cloud.

The same goes for the Photo's app on your iPhone. Log on to icloud.com and you can view the pictures you've taken. How about public galleries? You take a picture with your iPhone, you tap on "Make this picture public" and everyone who knows the URL to your public gallery (icloud.com/softpedia/gallery/public or something like that) can view the pictures you've taken a second ago.

Then there's Back to my Mac. You're working on your Windows PC at your work and you want to do something on your Mac at home? Just go to icloud.com, click on Back to my Mac and select your Mac at home to log on. Remote Desktop integrated in icloud.com.

Maybe even an online version of iWork (just like Google Docs), so you can open, edit and save your documents on any system just by using your browser.
