Samsung and Apple might launch flagships this summer

Yesterday, we were telling you that Samsung might be looking to counter Apple’s new iPhone launch later this year, so the Galaxy Note 5 might arrive sooner than expected, sometime in July.

But another report coming to us via G for Games claims that Apple is also looking to unveil its next-gen iPhone products in August, not in September or October as previously rumored.

According to the source of the article, this will happen due to finer production results. Various suppliers are being quoted as saying that the Cupertino tech giant is working much more effectively on the production of components needed for its upcoming handset products.

We’re also told that Apple’s new devices will be called the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, and not the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus as previous rumors would have us believe.

Despite many hopes, it’s pretty unlikely Apple will make any drastic changes to the overall look of its upcoming 2015 models. Naturally, we’re going to see a few improvements inwardly.

iPhone 6s rumor roundup

Word on the street says the Cupertino tech giant has partnered up with Samsung to produce its next-gen A9 chips and the phones will take advantage of 2GB of RAM. A 12MP camera is also said to be placed on the back of the phones.

To prevent another #bendgate scandal, Apple will make use of Series 7000 aluminum, which is said to be 60% stronger than the current metal standard. Sapphire glass is once again said to be included in the display of the new devices, although it appears the iPhone 6s Plus is going to be the sole beneficiary.

Apple is also rumored to be offering a rose gold color similar to the one used in the $17,000 / €15,101 Apple Watch Edition wearable.

Both models of the new iPhone will take advantage of Force Touch technology, which Apple already utilizes in the new Watch product and Retina MacBook.

Last but not least, Apple is expected to push the adoption of the Apple Pay service, so an improved TouchID technology is coming to the 2015 iPhones.

Judging by these rumors, the next few months are going to be quite interesting.
