For the second year in a row, Apple is the top dog amongst manufacturers of tablet computers in overall owner satisfaction, according to the J.D. Power and Associates 2013 U.S. Tablet Satisfaction Study—Volume 1.

Released earlier today, the study measures tablet owner satisfaction among people who’ve owned one such device for about a year.

JD Power measures satisfaction by looking at key factors like performance, ease of operation, styling and design, features, and (certainly not least), the price.

“For the second consecutive study, Apple ranks highest among manufacturers of tablets in overall owner satisfaction. Apple achieves a score of 836 and performs well in four factors: performance; ease of operation; styling and design; and features,” says JD Power.

Following Apple in its footsteps was Amazon, which scored 829 points with its Kindles, mostly thanks to the attractive pricing.

The JD Power 2013 U.S. Tablet Satisfaction Study—Volume 1 findings are based on a survey on 1,857 tablet owners. The study was carried out in February 2013.
