Apple is working hard to finish their new campus in Cupertino for the big opening in 2016. Until then, however, there's still a lot to work on the building itself and the park surrounding it. A new video posted online reveals in great detail what has been done so far. You can also see the massive scale of Apple's Campus 2.

The Cupertino, California-based tech giant is not only building devices for the future, but it also plans to move all of their operations from various buildings scattered around Cupertino into one massive location. The so-called Spaceship Campus has got that nickname because of the shape Steve Jobs had in mind.

Apple's Campus 2 was actually Steve Jobs' project and was presented to the city council back in 2006. The future facility is located about 1 mile away from the current Apple campus. The land for this new location was estimated around $160 million (€121.43 million), but the construction was initially estimated to be 4 times more expensive. However, last year, when Apple presented the final drawings, the value of the spaceship went up to $5 billion (€3.79 billion).

Apple's Campus 2 is going to be a pioneer in green technology and will improve the life and work conditions for thousands of employees. Every pane of glass of the building will be curved and the location will be surrounded by trees.

The new footage actually shows how this structure looks like a spaceship ready to take off of the ground. Take a look at the video and see for yourself.
