Ron Johnson names Benjamin Fay EVP, real estate, store design and development

Aiming to make JC Penney America’s favorite store, the recently instated CEO Ron Johnson (who formerly led retail operations at Apple Inc.) has poached an executive from the Cupertino computer giant.

JC Penney today announced the appointment of several industry leaders in different roles. The retailer’s CEO, Ron Johnson is attempting to redefine the JCPenney brand and revolutionize the retail shopping experience.

Benjamin Fay was Apple’s senior director of Retail Real Estate and Development. He worked for the iPhone makers for 8 straight years. Here’s what Johnson had to say about his hiring at JCP:
