Cupertino discounts its super-slim notebook by $200 for the all-time low of $699

Instead of paying $999 for a brand new MacBook Air, some customers might be interested in shaving off as much as $200 to buy a refurbished model from 2010, with 2GB of RAM, 64GB of Flash storage, and NVIDIA GeForce 320M graphics. The offer is limited to United States residents.

Packing a 1.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, this ultra-slim MacBook Air has an 11.6-inch LED-backlit glossy widescreen display, with 1366-by-768 pixel resolution.

In the box, customers will receive the refurbished MacBook Air, a 45W MagSafe power adapter, AC wall plug, and power cord, printed and electronic documentation, and the Software Reinstall Drive, or thumb-drive.

The system comes with Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard, which isn’t too bad considering it’s not much different from Lion (it even has the Mac App Store), sans the bugs. And we hear the Mountain Lion upgrade will be possible from a Snow Leopard installation.

We can think of a ton of reasons why some would want to get a discount on a MacBook Air with the new line of Macs in sight at this year’s WWDC, but the most prominent of all has to be the customer’s needs.

In that respect, whoever needs a fast machine for on-the-go work and an occasional fun session, the small sibling in the MacBook Air family is the perfect choice. Not to mention that you can sell it to one of your friends or colleagues when you decide to upgrade.

So, if you were looking for a fast Macintosh solution until Apple’s big refresh this summer, you should pay Apple a visit here.

All refurbished products undergo Apple’s stringent refurbishment process prior to sale. They are covered by Apple's One-Year Limited Warranty, and an AppleCare Protection Plan can be purchased separately. Supplies are limited, so act fast.
