The carrier suggests that other smartphones offer better experiences

T-mobile is the only major wireless carrier in the United States who did not receive the Apple iPhone, though it seems that the company did want it for its customers.

It turns out that the Apple iconic device did not come to the market with support for the fast network that the wireless carrier operates at the moment.

With the iPhone available on its network, the wireless carrier would have had a great range of devices available for its customers, many of which also pack support for the carrier's 4G services.

“T-Mobile thinks the iPhone is a good device and we’ve expressed our interest to Apple to offer it to our customers. Ultimately, it is Apple’s decision,” Andrew Sherrard, senior vice president, Marketing, T-Mobile USA, stated, according to TmoNews.

“The issue remains that Apple has not developed a version of the iPhone with technology that works on our fast 3G and 4G networks.

“We believe a capable version of the iPhone for our 3G and 4G networks would offer an additional compelling option for our customers on a fast 4G network. However, the iPhone is not the only option to experience the benefit that smartphones offer.”

However, the bunch of high-end Android devices that the carrier has available for its customers at the moment do provide support for the airwaves, and the company says that users will be able to enjoy their capabilities even if the iPhone is not there.

The carrier claims that its current smartphones do offer the necessary functionality, speed, features and the like so that users would find them great options when compared to other devices, the iPhone 4S included.

“Reports continue of iPhones not operating well on some carrier networks, while our latest 4G smartphones offer many advantages vs. the iPhone 4S,” he notes.

These advantages would include faster speeds, larger screens, compelling service pricing, more advanced cameras (such as the one on the HTC Amaze 4G), and increased choice.

Users should find the 4.52” super AMOLED display in Galaxy S II very appealing, and the same would apply to the camera on HTC AMAZE 4G, or to the great download speeds that other handsets too can deliver.

“With our portfolio of Android, Windows, and BlackBerry smartphones, fast 4G network, and competitively priced worry-free unlimited talk, text, and data plans, we believe it’s a great time to be a T-Mobile customer,” he concluded.
