Indian retailer Infibeam has just opened pre-orders for Apple’s iPhone 5. Although the seller does not offer any details on the phone’s price, it asks customers to pay a Rs 5,000 (95 USD or 70 EUR) booking fee.

For the time being, Infibeam only offers the 16GB model, but the other two versions might go on sale in India as well, though it’s too early for an exact release date. Check it out here.

Furthermore, the Indian retailer also claims the iPhone 5 is expected to be available from the first week of November.

Although it does not come with anything revolutionary in comparison with the previous iPhone 4S model, iPhone 5 would be a good choice for Apple fans who wish to upgrade from much older iPhone models, such as the iPhone 4 or iPhone 3G.

According to Apple, the iPhone 5 comes with the latest technologies owned by the Cupertino-based company. It’s lighter and thinner than iPhone 4S at 112g and 7.6mm.

When it comes to connectivity, Apple iPhone 5 offers blazing fast data speeds with the built in LTE technology, which supports various networks, including HSPA, HSPA+ and DC-HSPDA.

The iPhone 5 has the largest display built into an iPhone device. The 4.0-inch Retina display supports 640 x 1136 pixels resolution. It features Corning Gorilla Glass and oleophobic coating.

The device is more powerful than any other previous iPhone models thanks to the new 1.2 GHz dual-core A6 processor built by Apple.

In addition, the iPhone 5 packs an amazing triple-core PowerVR SGX 543MP graphics processing unit.

The 8-megapixel iSight rear camera features autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording, but there’s also a secondary 1.2-megapixel camera for FaceTime video calls.

As you may already know, iPhone 5 runs Apple’s latest iOS 6 platform, which includes quite a lot of pre-loaded apps and services, such as Maps, FaceTime, Safari, Messages, Reminders, Music, Photos, Videos, App stores, Newsstand, Find My iPhone, Weather, Notes, Stocks, Voice Memos and many more.
