We've seen plenty of iPad-dedicated accessories being rolled out onto the market ever since Apple's famous Internet tablet was initially announced, but the folks over at WowWee have really decided to up the ante in this segment by releasing the Cinemin Slice multimedia pico projector audio dock, a device that will allow users to easily project video content being played on the tablet.

Quite obviously, the main selling point of the new Cinemin Slice, compared to the other iPad docking solutions out there, is the presence of a pico projector that can deliver images with a size of up to 1.5m (60") in diagonal, while the viewable range, however, is restricted to just 3.2m (125").

The projector also packs a 90-degree hinge and sports a WVGA (854 x 480 pixels) resolution, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 16:9 image aspect ratio, a 16 ANSI lumens brightness level, and, last but not least, a manual focus system.

Leaving aside the video projection features provide by the WowWee Cinemin Slice, it's also important to point out that the device comes equipped with 6-watt stereo speakers, as well as a headphone jack (for private listening) and a handy infrared remote control for changing tracks and adjusting volume.

The connectivity options provided by the Slice are pretty impressive as well, since we're talking about a
30-pin Apple connector compatible with iPod, iPod Touch, iPod Nano, iPhone, and iPad (docking trays included), as well as AV, VGA, and HDMI ports, which allow it to connect to virtually any portable device with video-out functionality.

As WowWee informs us, the Cinemin Slice will be available for US$429.99 in January 2011, but those iPad owners out there who're not scared by the price point and really want to make sure that they'll be among the first to receive this new product can start pre-ordering it on November 23.
