Apparently, the businesses love Apple and IBM so the afterhours stock price is on the rise

The first hour and a half after the announcement of the partnership was made, both Apple's and IBM's stock prices went up. The change in price was not impressive, but good enough to give hope to the companies that are now joining hands to help the enterprise segment.

Apple's stock was going down in the past 24 hours, but the announcement has changed the way the investors and market player think about the Cupertino-based tech giant. In the afterhours, the stock price went from 95.32 to 96.76. That would be 1.51% higher.

IBM was doing better, but the announcement made a big impression on the market for them as well. Their stock raised from 188.49 to 191.92, an increase of 1.82% in less than two hours.

Apple and IBM also published a press release and a webpage highlighting their new partnership. They say that the joint effort "teams the market-leading strengths of each company to transform enterprise mobility through a new class of business apps—bringing IBM’s big data and analytics capabilities to iPhone® and iPad."

The document goes on explaining how they will go about changing the industry, from native apps developed exclusively for iPhone and iPad to IBM cloud services optimized for iOS and new AppleCare service and support tailored for the enterprise.

The website published by IBM starts off with the logos of the two companies together and with a few words by Thomas Watson Jr. "Good design is good business."

The website talks a little bit about how mobile devices have transformed our personal lives and they will soon transform the way we work. According to IBM, there are currently 100 apps in the works. Specialists from both companies will be able to demonstrate the value of these new solutions in October of 2014, and whoever wants to see them can sign up today.

There are good things about this partnership, like the fact that they support Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) policies.

This new strategy is promoted on different social networks. IBM Mobile is already on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube. However, the only network that they have used to say something about the partnership is Twitter.
