Apple and AT&T have agreed on a new "unlimited" plan for iPhone users, which, as its name implies, offers not only Nights & Weekends unlimited calls, but during any time of the day, any day of the week. The price? A wallet bleeding $119.99, but hey, don't forget the 200 SMS text messages.

That's right, dear iPhone users, the 200 SMS text messages feature is
still there. I'm not even going to ask why, with all the other unlimited features, have the 200 text messages stayed in place. Now, tell me this. Exactly how many people talk more than 5,000 minutes (that's 83 and a half hours) a month (this being what the basic plan has to offer) that Apple and AT&T realized a "more unlimited" plan was in order?

Not that I don't like the idea of having unlimited everything, including unlimited voice calling, unlimited email and web surfing, unlimited Mobile to Mobile, Voicemail, free Rollover Minutes and 200 SMS Text Messages (what's next, free iPhone?). I'm just surprised there was such a huge demand that they actually came up with this $119.99/month plan.

Anyway, needless to point out, the newest plan from Apple and AT&T has arrived mere days after the iPhone SDK was out, so we can only imagine that one is connected to the other.

It's easy to picture that once developers get the hang of it (the SDK that is), release a few apps in time for the 2.0 software update, make more people realize that the iPhone is just an exquisite piece of machinery, and by the time Apple makes everything legally available via the App Store, everyone will have opted for an iPhone. Throw in the Unlimited plan for whoever is willing to pay the extra cash and there's your winning formula. More iPhone users, more plans to choose from and use with an already full-feature device.

As Steve Jobs himself said at the March 6 event, developers will most likely offer their games and apps for free. So, what else would you need but unlimited calls to tell your friends whenever the App Store gets updated, with all this free content floating around?
