Early this summer, between June 11 and 15, all eyes in the Apple world will be looking at downtown San Francisco, where this year's Apple Worldwide Developers Conference will take place. The company invites software developers, web designers, system administrators and scripters around the world to "connect with Apple engineers, get a firsthand look at the latest technology, and spend a week getting the kind of inspiration you won't find anywhere else".

Indeed, it should be quite an inspiration for developers working with Apple technologies. Organizers promise seminars and presentations of their new technologies and I'm sure there will be plenty of things to see, especially regarding Mac OS X's development.

We're all looking forward for Leopard, Apple's sixth major operating system release. At last year's WWDC, Apple announced major improvements and great additions, such as Time Machine, an automated backup tool that will allow the user to restore any file that has been deleted, misplaced or replaced, Spaces, an implementation of "virtual desktops" and Core Animation, a new technology designed to assist developers in creating live-like, complex animations with very little code.

Apple engineers will work together with developers at this year's Worldwide Developers Conference to give them a helping hand for planning future development and managing various code-level issues. They say developers will be taught to use the latest Mac OS applications, services and features to improve quality in user interfaces and usage experience.

If you plan on attending this year's Worldwide Developers Conference, you'd better hurry up to get your ticket and enjoy five days of first hand Apple presentations, seminars and development guidance.
