Apple confirmed today that its annual Worldwide Developers Conference will kick off June 11 at San Francisco’s Moscone West with a focus on OS X Mountain Lion and iOS.

In the press release announcing the upcoming event, Apple made a list of “activities” about to go down at WWDC 2012.

These include: over 100 technical sessions presented by Apple engineers on a wide range of technology-centric topics; 100 hands-on labs hosted by over 1,000 Apple engineers (last year more than 60 countries were represented, Apple said); the chance to engage with fellow developers from around the world; “inspirational lunchtime sessions with leading minds and influencers from the worlds of technology, science and entertainment”; and the popular Apple Design Awards (ADA) which recognize crème de la crème in iOS and Mac third-party development.
