Apple Updates iTunes, QuickTime and Front Row

- Fixed stability issues, resolved security issues, improved compatibility with third-party apps and more

By: Filip Truta, Apple News Editor

Updates are available for your computer! iTunes, QuickTime and Front Row updates are all just waiting to be ticked, downloaded and installed on your Mac. The first two go for Windows users too, since iTunes and QuickTime can also be used on Microsoft's operating system. Hopefully, this time around, Apple will send its updates to those who actually have previous versions of the software installed.

Click on the name of each program to update to the latest version.

ITUNES 7.6.2. Everyone owning an iPod, iPhone or a Mac should be aware of
what iTunes can provide. Users are able to rent and download their favorite movies, watch them in sizes up to 720p HD with surround sound on their Apple TV and sizes up to DVD-quality on their computer. You can transfer your rented movies from iTunes to your iPod or iPhone too, purchase and download your favorite TV shows, music, and more directly on your Apple TV. You can then transfer purchases made on Apple TV back to your computer through iTunes again.

The latest version, iTunes 7.6.2, "provides bug fixes to improve stability and performance," according to the Cupertino folks.

QuickTime 7.4.5 on the other hand, includes fixes that enhance reliability, improve compatibility with third-party applications, and address a bunch of security issues as well. Just as with any software update of its kind, "this release is recommended for all QuickTime 7 users," Apple states.

Last but not least, Front Row has been updated to version 2.1.3. The Front Row update "provides for bug fixes and improved iTunes compatibility," according to the folks behind the Mac.

Check with the related links below for more updates issued lately. It is recommended that you perform all three updates for Front Row and iTunes get along and work well for you.
