The new layout does away with unnecessary framing (product boxes)

The Apple Support site has received an iOS 7-inspired makeover which basically drops all the boxes and frames used to encase various product images, leaving a clean, white page with nothing but the products themselves scattered all around.

Apple offers a brief but comprehensive description of its Support offerings, noting that the Support site lets you “Learn about Apple products, view online manuals, get the latest downloads, and more.”

“Connect with other Apple users, or get service, support, and professional advice from Apple,” the company adds.

As avid users of Apple.com will undoubtedly notice, the Support site no longer has boxes (frames) for the product categories listed there. Everything is now displayed on a simple, white background, reminiscent of iOS 7. One thing remains unchanged, though: the geek staffer wearing grandma frames.

Apple Support is now divided into two pages, one featuring sections like AirPort+WiFi, OS X, iOS Apps, Mac Apps, Pro Apps, Server + Enterprise, and AppleCare, while the other holds KB articles and troubleshooting tips for Mac, iPhone, iPad, iPod, Apple TV, iCloud, Apple ID, and iTunes.
