A second announcement posted by Apple to the iOS Dev Center on September 9 concerns the sales and trend reports module in iTunes Connect, Apple’s suite of web-based tools that allows developers to submit and manage their applications for distribution on the App Store.

“We are pleased to announce a new design for the Sales and Trend reports module in iTunes Connect,” Apple’s announcement reads.

“This new design makes it easier to access and view important data about your app sales, including:

- A new dashboard with trending graphs of your daily and weekly sales data - The ability to review summary data by selling category - Top Products and Top Markets display - Improved navigation to help you find the type of data you need quickly”

As usual, the company directs developers to the Sales and Trends user guide, for more information about the changes.

After downloading the PDF document, iOS developers are greeted by an icon created by Apple especially for the iTunes Connect App Store Sales and Trends section. It features an offset white Apple logo on a blue background.

Access to the Sales and Trends module is only available through iTunes Connect. Once logged in, the developer is presented with the Welcome page, which contains links to help navigate iTunes Connect.

The Welcome page is based on the modules applicable to a developer’s status.

In recent iOS Dev Center updates, Apple has also announced an update to the iTunes Connect Payments and Financial Reporting website, which acts as a gateway to information about payments for iOS developers.

Re-built from scratch, the new site features a new interface which includes a “dashboard”, and a  clean layout with four main tabs: Summary, Earnings, Owed, and Payments.
