Apple has revised an old support document that looks at the array of display adapters for its computers outlining which ones go with what computers.

The company headquartered in Cupertino, California acknowledges that there are several   different display adapters for Apple computers that use a variety of connectors.

To enable customers to learn about the Apple display adapters used with Macs produced since 2001, the computer giant posts both images and written documentation in a comprehensive table, as well as several guides to identify their Mac computer.

The table starts off with the latest-introduced adapter -  Apple Thunderbolt Cable (2 m) - which has been assigned the part number MC913 and goes with several new MacBook Pro and MacBook Air models, as well as with desktop Macs (iMac, Mac mini).

Below the chart there is more information for specific product and adapter combinations broken down in several articles also scattered throughout Apple’s Support site.
