Apple is updating Mac users’ machines with new printer drivers that add support for the latest models from Canon and, for the first time, FujiXerox printers / scanners.

Available through Software Update from the Apple menu on your Mac, as well as via the Support Downloads section on Apple’s web site, the new drivers install the latest software for your printer or scanner.

Canon Printer Drivers v2.7 for OS X and FujiXerox Printer Drivers v2.2.1 for OS X both add support for new machine models from the two respective vendors. Apple directs customers to a knowledge-base article that documents all supported printers / scanners so far.

While FujiXerox users only have a 50.06 MB package to download and install, Canon users will require 324.08 MB of free disk space (and probably even more) to equip their Macs with the latest drivers.
